Beware of Counterfeit T-ISS SOLAS flex Reflective tapes

Unfortunately, T-ISS has informed that counterfeit reflective tapes are offered in different parts of the world. This time, the counterfeit SOLAS reflective tapes have been printed with the T-ISS logo and are completed with an expired MED certification number (which was originally for a SART transponder). The quality of this product does NOT meet the required standards according to IMO/Solas/MED and will fade/discolour (turn yellow) within 2 months. This counterfeit product does NOT have the reflective properties required, therefore your life saving equipment will NOT be visible as per Solas requirements.

How to recognize a counterfeit T-ISS SOLAS tape

Below you can see the counterfeit T-ISS SOLASflex Reflective tape and the T-ISS original product next to eachother.

• T-ISS SOLASflex Reflective tape has a distinguished reflective pattern.
• T-ISS SOLASflex Reflective tape always has the logo and wheelmark printed under an angle.
• T-ISS SOLASflex Reflective tape is type 2 approved, so will not fade or turn yellow when used outdoors.
• T-ISS SOLASflex Reflective tape will always have a valid MED certification.
