What is Drip Stop Tape?
T-ISS Drip Stop Tape is a non-leak tape designed to stop small leaks without using any adhesive components. It does not stick to your hands but bonds to itself and the component it is wrapped around. The tape is easy to use and can be applied to various surfaces. This special Non-Leak Tape is effective even on wet surfaces and can also be used underwater.
Where to use Drip Stop Tape?
Drip Stop Tape is recommended for use on pipes with small leaks, but it can also be applied as a preventive measure. The tape is suitable for use on wet surfaces and even underwater. When used underwater, it must be wound very tightly. During application, the tape should be wrapped tightly and overlapped by half the tape’s width to ensure proper sealing. The full cure time is approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
Once applied, the tape can hold pressure up to 3 kg/cm². In addition to stopping leaks, it is also suitable for corrosion protection and can be used as an electrical insulation material.
Materials and Technical Information
Our Tape is made from a high-quality self-fusing silicone rubber that provides excellent insulation and sealing properties. The tape has a thickness of 0.1 mm and combines high tensile strength with exceptional flexibility, offering a tensile strength of 32.8 kg/cm² and an elongation at break of 435%.
With a dielectric strength of 21 kV/mm and a very low dielectric constant of 0.03, this Non-Leak Tape ensures reliable electrical insulation even under demanding conditions. Its dissipation factor of 2.01 and volume resistivity of 6.1 × 10¹⁵ Ω·cm contribute to outstanding resistance against moisture and electrical leakage.
