What is a Thermal Viewer?
The Thermal Viewer by Fire Isolator is a lightweight, high-performance infrared camera designed for real-time temperature monitoring during fire incidents. With three image modes—thermal, visual, and fusion—this portable device allows first responders to quickly assess risk areas, track temperature development, and decide when to deploy additional fire suppression tools such as Aerosol Units.
Using infrared technology, the camera visualizes heat differences, displaying warmer zones in yellow-orange and cooler areas in blue or purple. It has a wide temperature range of -20°C to 1,000°C (-5°F to 1,800°F), making it ideal for use in electric vehicle fires, where internal battery temperatures can indicate potential reignition or the need for further cooling.
How do you use the FI-TVIEW?
The Thermal Viewer is handheld and easy to operate in the field. Simply point the device at the target area to view temperature differences in real-time. Switch between image modes to enhance visibility based on the environment, and use the included PC software to analyze data post-operation if needed.
With over 7 hours of battery life and an internal 216 GB memory, the FI-TVIEW is built for long, demanding shifts without interruption.
