What is Pipe Repair Tape?

Once activated, it sets within approximately 20 minutes, depending on the surrounding temperature.
This durable tape provides a strong and permanent repair solution, making it ideal for emergency situations or routine maintenance in both dry and wet conditions. With the ability to withstand pressures up to 10 bar and temperatures up to 150°C, it is also suitable for demanding industrial and maritime environments.
How to use T-ISS Pipe Repair Tape
To apply T-ISS Pipe Repair Tape effectively, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the Surface: Ensure the damaged pipe area is clean and free from loose debris, oil, or moisture. For best adhesion, roughen the surface slightly if possible.
2.Apply the Tape: Wrap the Pipe Repair tape very firmly around the damaged area, making sure to extend at least 2 inches (5 cm) beyond the damaged section on both sides.
3. Mold and Press: Continue applying pressure while molding the tape in the direction of the wrap until the material begins to set. This ensures maximum bonding and strength.
4. Trim Excess: If necessary, carefully cut away any excess tape using a knife or scissors.
5. Clean-Up: Tools and hands can be cleaned with alcohol or acetone before the tape fully cures.
Once cured, the repair is pressure-resistant, heat-resistant, and durable enough to restore functionality immediately.
