What are Photoluminescent Trail Dots?
Photoluminescent Trail Dots, also known as glow-in-the-dark trail dots, are specialized markers designed to improve visibility and safety in low-light conditions. These dots are made with photoluminescent materials that absorb ambient light—either natural daylight or artificial lighting—and emit a visible glow in darkness, without requiring electricity or batteries.
They are commonly used to mark escape routes, pathways, or specific points of interest on ships, offshore platforms, or industrial staircases. Available in 90 mm or 200 mm diameter, these aluminum trail dots feature a self-adhesive backing for quick and easy installation. Versions with directional arrows are also available.
For metal staircases or other challenging surfaces, a specially designed anti-skid mounting bracket is available to ensure a secure and durable fit. This option enhances grip and safety in areas with high foot traffic or slippery conditions.
Photoluminescent Trail Dots are part of our certified Low Location Lighting (LLL) product range—systems designed to provide clear visual guidance at or near floor level during power outages or emergencies at sea.
