What is a Lifejacket Light?
A lifejacket light is a safety device attached to a lifejacket that automatically activates when it comes into contact with water. Its primary purpose is to emit a flashing light, making it easier to locate a person in the water during low visibility conditions such as nighttime, fog, or heavy seas.
The T-ISS LED lifejacket light is water-activated, features an easy manual “off” switch, and runs on DNV-certified alkaline batteries. Its compact, lightweight design ensures it does not interfere with the integrity or inflation of the lifejacket, while its integrated light dome enhances visibility from multiple angles.
Why does a lifejacket need a Lifejacket Light?
In emergency scenarios at sea, especially during darkness or rough weather, spotting someone in the water can be extremely difficult. Lifejacket lights increase the chances of survival in these kind of situations. A bright, flashing light draws attention and allows rescuers to quickly locate and assist the person in distress.
Specifications
The T-ISS LED lifejacket light exceeds international brightness and duration requirements, operating for at least 24 hours with an intensity of over 0.75 candela. Its automatic activation and high-visibility orange casing add to its effectiveness in life-saving situations.
Our LED lifejacket light runs on DNV-certified alkaline batteries, offering a safe and reliable performance while making end-of-life disposal much easier.
