What is a Lifebuoy Light?
The T-ISS Lifebuoy Light is a waterproof light that attaches to a lifebuoy or life ring. Its main job is to make the lifebuoy easier to spot in the dark or during poor weather conditions. The T-ISS Lifebuoy Light is trusted worldwide for its durability and reliability in tough maritime environments. Once it touches water, it automatically turns on, so no manual activation is needed. This helps rescuers locate the lifebuoy—and the person in need—more quickly.
How does the Lifebuoy Light work?
The T-ISS Lifebuoy Light is self-igniting, which means it activates on contact with water. It uses a lithium battery to power a flashing light that blinks between 50 and 70 times per minute, making it highly visible in the dark. It keeps flashing for at least two hours, giving rescue teams a better chance of finding someone in time.
The light is built from rugged polycarbonate, making it extremely strong and fully watertight. It also includes a clip for easy attachment and comes with SolasFlex Retro Reflective Tape for even more visibility.
