Low location lights are a type of photoluminescent strips used in the maritime industry, primarily for safety and navigation purposes. These lightstrips are typically installed in the lower portions of ships, vessels, or offshore platforms to provide illumination in low-visibility conditions, for instance during a power-out. Low-location lights are designed to enhance safety by making it easier for people to identify pathways, exits, or obstacles, especially in emergency situations.
Our Low Location Lighting Profile System is a system consisting of an extruded aluminum carrier and rigid photoluminescent strips. We have two different types of profiles in our range; an angled or a flat profile containing a 55,4 mm wide visible backlighting strip. The performance of the rigid panels is certified by DNV.
The flat profile is made of anodized aluminum and contains a central channel in which a strip of photoluminescent material is inserted. End caps are available to protect the ends of the profile. The angled profile is slightly angled away from the vertical to allow the photoluminescent strip to catch more light.
