What is Security Seal Tape?

Security Seal Tape, also known as tamper-evident tape or warranty void tape, is designed to reveal any signs of tampering or unauthorized access. T-ISS Security Seal tape is commonly used across industries such as logistics, aviation, banking, electronics, and pharmaceuticals to protect goods during shipment and storage.

Our ‘Secu’ Seal Tape is made from high-quality, destructible PET material that leaves a visible “OPEN VOID” message when removed. This makes it immediately clear if an item has been tampered with. The tape is halogen-free, non-PVC, and available in various colors, sizes, and layouts. Custom designs are also available.

How to use Security Seal Tape

Using T-ISS Security Seal Tape is simple:

1. Clean the surface: Ensure the application surface is clean and dry for optimal adhesion.
2. Apply the tape: Firmly press the tape onto the area to be sealed, ensuring full contact with the surface. Consistent pressure helps activate the adhesive.
3. Let it set: Allow the tape to adhere for a short period. Once set, the tamper-evident feature is fully functional.
4. Check for tampering: If someone tries to remove the tape, it will leave a clear “OPEN VOID” message behind. Most of the adhesive stays on the surface, and the tape itself cannot be reused—an added layer of security.

Approvals and Standards

T-ISS Secu Seal Tape complies with international best practices for tamper evidence and packaging integrity. While it does not require mandatory global certifications, it is widely accepted and trusted across sectors such as:

  • Forensic investigation
  • Military logistics
  • Banking and financial services
  • Aviation cargo security
  • Medical and pharmaceutical packaging

The tape’s construction from halogen-free PET and non-PVC materials aligns with modern environmental and safety standards, and its minimum shelf life of 2 years ensures long-term usability.
