 90,00

The PX02 is a Life Raft Release Hook designed for davit-launched life rafts on ships.

What is the PX02 Life Raft Release Hook?

The PX02 is a Life Raft Release Hook designed for davit-launched life rafts on ships. It secures the life raft during normal operations and releases it quickly when needed in an emergency. With a safe working load of 25 kN, it offers both strength and reliability when it matters most.

This release hook offers both automatic and manual release options, providing flexibility during evacuation. It is engineered to meet the safety needs of modern vessels, where reliability, ease of use, and compliance with international standards are essential. The PX02 helps ensure that life rafts are quickly available for use during emergency situations at sea.

How does the Life Raft Release Hook work?

The PX02 release hook operates in two modes: automatic and manual. In automatic mode, the hook releases the life raft as soon as it enters the water. This allows the raft to float freely and be ready for boarding without the need for crew intervention. It is especially useful in emergencies where time is critical and conditions may be rough.

When automatic release isn’t suitable or optional, the manual release can be used once the raft is waterborne. This dual-mode design adds both safety and flexibility. The mechanism is simple to operate, yet highly dependable, ensuring the life raft is released quickly and reliably.

Our hooks are offload, meaning they can only be released when the boat is waterborne and no load is applied, ensuring maximum safety and reliability during launch.
